You know, I just want to tell you guys that you have a great site and a great store. Your prices are excellent and you web store cool and efficient. And how quick you get stuff to me, way over here, is amazing. And your stock - wow! Perhaps because you're Dutch, and I used to be Dutch - there's some wonderful kind of connection. I don't know, but i sure am happy with you all.

The 1999 album has been lavishly revamped into a definitive 2 disc set. Disc one is a CD containing a pristine remix / remaster of the original stereo album, while disc two is a DVDA (playable on any DVD player) containing the album remixed into 5.1 surround sound (in DVDA and DTS versions), as well as a 24 bit high resolution version of the stereo mix. Also included are 5.1 mixes of bonus tracks Ambulance Chasing and the full length 14 minute version of Even Less, the promo video for Piano Lessons, and a photo gallery. The artwork has also been completely revamped, with exceptional new images by Lasse Hoile, and a beautiful package designed by Carl Glover. With Stupid Dream, Steve Wilson attempted to turn his back on much of the band's previous output, and instigate a fresh start. Gone are the side long tracks, and the lengthy, sometimes indulgent instrumentals. In their place comes a much tighter, more balanced Porcupine Tree. It's all relative of course, and the band's basic sound is still there, as are the complex structures, and talented instrumental work. Tracks like â??Piano Lessonsâ? and â??This Is No Rehearsalâ? are however far more straight forward and radio friendly than the band's previous works. The latter has a very striking structure, with soft verses interrupted by sudden loud riffs, and a screaming lead guitar. â??Even Lessâ? â??Pure Narcoticâ?, and â??Don't Hate Meâ? come closer to the progressive sounds of yore, but even these are trimmed back and much more focused. It is interesting to hear the rambling (but nonetheless good) 14 minute demo of â??Even lessâ? on the â??Four chords which made a millionâ? single and to compare it to the finished version on â??Stupid dreamâ?. The lyrics on the final version are also less controversial! With this album, Porcupine Tree moved up several divisions in terms of commercial appeal, while retaining much of what had made them popular with their core fans.
