Belmondo are a Rotterdam based five-piece that formed early 1999 at Paddington. Only a few months later they were asked to support Supergrass and to play at the London Calling Festival. After that the band started writing new material and recorded some demo's that were picked up by producer Frans Hagenaars (Darryl Ann, Bettie Serveert) who started recording with them in the summer of 2001. Around that time they changed their name in Belmondo. From the first note it brings back thoughts of late Power of Dreams and early New Order. The album has a very 80-90's indie sound with echoes shoegazing, new wave and of past greats throughout.
