For this project the English lyrics of the famous American singer/guitarist Bob Dylan were translated by the Frisian poet Harmen Wind. The Frisian foundation Afûk came on the idea of contacting a band from their own province to carry out these Dylan songs in the Frisian language. With that aim they got in contact with Marius de Boer, the former singer of the Frisian band Reboelje. Marius wasn't able to help them out due to his busy schedule but he suggested Ernst Langhout as the ideal candidate. The 12 songs for the cd ' Dylan yn it Frysk ' have been recorded and mixed by Ernst Langhout in the Landscape studio in Gauw. Johan Keus did most of the arrangements and contributed to most of the songs (guitar, bass and percussion). For a number of songs Langhout and Keus invited several guest musicians - the singers Jannie Brandsma, Jitske Drayer, Dale , violist Hans Battenberg and drummer Koos van der Velde - to fill in the arrangements.
