You know, I just want to tell you guys that you have a great site and a great store. Your prices are excellent and you web store cool and efficient. And how quick you get stuff to me, way over here, is amazing. And your stock - wow! Perhaps because you're Dutch, and I used to be Dutch - there's some wonderful kind of connection. I don't know, but i sure am happy with you all.

Digitally remastered reissue of 1981 album, includes new artwork with extensive sleeve notes & previously unseen photos. La Folie, is French for 'The Madness', which is in reference to love, the ultimate madness, and a fitting title, seeing as every song on the record refers to a love of some sort. This was the concept, Love. Had anyone said the Stranglers were doing an album about love, chances are fans would have scoffed at them for going soft, but it wasn't to be all straightforward love of the romantic kind, oh no, La Folie tackled love in various incarnations, it should be of note that this was the first time Cornwell branched out from his Fender Telecaster, and used a pre-production guitar he dubbed the 'razor' due to it's shape. On the whole, La Folie, even in it's basic incarnation, is an awesome album, an easily worthy of full marks, it was brave, hard fought, and worth everything the group put into it. When you also have the bonus tracks, including the amusing Cocktail Nubiles, and the excellent Strange Little Girl,it just adds to the worth of the package. In some senses, La Folie is a defiant battlecry from the band, despite it being one of their least aggressive records, but it was a signal of intent, it would take more than a poor selling record and a load of bad press to keep them down, and in fact all it served to do was inspire them into one of their career's highest pinnacles.
